“YOU ARE LOVED.”

These three words can be the hardest to believe at times.  Often, we hear, “I love you, but”  There are even times we say to others, “I know you love me, but…”

Let’s face it, at its best our love is conditional and often has strings attached.  The good news is God is love, period.  There are no buts, and there are no strings attached.  God is love, and you, my beautiful friend, are totally and completely loved by Him.

I’m sharing with you a few of my favorite verses; allow them to wash over your heart to correct any lies you may have believed about God’s love toward you.

The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves.  He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!  People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.” Psalm 36:7

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 8:38-39

All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts.  Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.  But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:3-5

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” 1 John 3:1

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.  This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.  This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” 1 John 4:8-10

Prayer:  Dear Father, there are so many things that tempt me to believe the lie that You don’t love me.  Help me to reject those lies and receive the truth of Your word.  Today, I choose to stand in truth that You are LOVE, and I am completely LOVED by You.  Amen
