“ #Shakeitoff! “

In Matthew 10:14, Jesus said "…if any household (or town) refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust off your feet as you leave."  Similarly, in Matthew 7:6, Jesus commanded His followers not to waste their time or effort on those who were clearly hostile. 

#Shakeitoff!  

Let's be honest, there are going to be times when people reject you, discard you, treat you coldly, or are not willing to listen to the words you are sharing about the Lord.  They will be combative, hostile, and defensive. 

These situations are uncomfortable, but in JESUS, we can remain in perfect peace.  God’s Word promises to give us supernatural strength and free wisdom!  Isn't it so sweet to know we have access to power that is so much greater than our own?  

Prayer:  Father, we thank You for being who You are.  Today we ask You to give us strength when we're rejected.  Help us to turn to You for boldness and wisdom.  We want to cast our cares onto You, so that we are not weighed down by things we cannot control.  Help us to shake the dust off our feet and continue the journey.  Help us to learn to love the sound of our feet walking away from anything that was not meant for us!  In Jesus’ name.  Amen
