“Growing”

The goal of spiritual growth is not to achieve perfection, but maturity.  Our growth in God will produce fruit of a transformed life and character.

Galatians 5:22-23 states, “'But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions, joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.”

However, this does not negate the fact that we still have issues and struggles.  Paul says in Philippians 3:12, “'I admit that I haven’t yet acquired the absolute fullness that I’m pursuing, but I run with passion into His abundance so that I may reach the purpose for which Christ Jesus laid hold of me to make me his own.”

So listen, just like Paul, we are also “a work in progress!”  We must not let our imperfections discourage us or deter us from pursuing our relationship with God!  We must press on and not give up on ourselves because GOD will never give up on us!

Prayer~ 'I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation to know him through your deepening intimacy with him. I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling —that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones!'  Ephesians 1:17-18
