Stand in Courage.  Move with Grace.  Rise in Confidence.

For Mother’s Day, one of my sweet sisters gave me a desk plaque that reads Stand in Courage.  Move with Grace.  Rise in Confidence.  She got it from one of my favorite places to shop, the Hallmark store.  In her card she wrote that when she saw the plaque, it reminded her of me, and she told me to display it somewhere in my office as a reminder to do what it says

I proudly found the perfect spot for my gift, and it is a wonderful reminder for me every day.  Maybe you need this reminder today, so I’m sharing it with hopes (for me and you) that we will practice what these words are preaching.

Stand in Courage…

Knowing that you are never alone.  God is with you!  “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

Knowing that when your strength is limited, God has an inexhaustible supply.  Wait on the Lord!  “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!” Psalm 27:14

Move with Grace…

Knowing that everyone has a past.  You have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus!  “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8

Knowing that Jesus isn’t a part of the “cancel culture.”  Made a mistake?  Run to Jesus!!  “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

Rise in Confidence…

Knowing that man can fail and disappoint, but God never will.  Trust in God!  “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” Psalm 118:8

Knowing that no prayer is ever not heard or unanswered.  Don’t stop praying!  “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14-15

Prayer:  Dear Father, what wonderful reminders we have in Your Word.  Help to always remember that we have a safe place in You.  Amen.
