Devotionals for Wednesday: December 7

Introduction

As we study the Gospel, we pray for, anticipate, and expect spiritual growth in our lives. To facilitate this spiritual growth, we will use two components. One component is the commitment to attend the Wednesday Bible study from 7 pm-8:15 pm, either on campus in the Worship Center or via Livestream at www.bethelhampton.com. The second component is a set of weekly devotionals that we complete prior to the Wednesday Bible study.

The questions listed below are for you to answer and reflect upon as you study the chapter for this week. We suggest that you take at least four or five days each week for this personal devotional.

Romans Chapters 13

Day #1 – Romans 13:1-4 

1. Why should Christians honor governing authorities? (Romans 13:1-2) 

2. What should a Christian do to maintain a good relationship with the government? (Romans 13:3-4)

Day #2 – Romans 13:5-7 

1. Why should a Christian give honor to those in authority? (Romans 13:5)

Day #3 – Romans 13:8-10 

1. What is the one debt which a Christian should owe? (Romans 13:8)

3. How is love the fulfillment of the law? (Romans 13:10) 

Day #4 – Romans 13:11-14 

1. What reason is given why we should awake out of sleep? (Romans 13:11) 

2. What are we to cast off and what are we to put on? (Romans 13:12) 

3. According to Paul, what behaviors are Christians to avoid? (Romans 13:13) 

4. How can a Christian avoid fulfilling the passion and lust of the flesh? (Romans 13:14)
