You are the Apple of God’s Eye

With this seven-word statement, you might have a few questions.  Am I really the Apple of God’s Eye?  What does this mean for me as a Christian? 

We love to be noticed by man, but how much more important it is to be noticed by God.  While preparing this Beauty Tip, I read that to be the apple of someone’s eye means that we are gazed upon and watched closely by that person.  In other words, God loves us so much that He closes watches over us, and He never loses sight of us. 

Because you are the apple of His eye, you can ask Him for protection.  “Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me under the shadow of Your wings.” Psalms 17:8

We also can be confident and assured that God hears our prayers.  “I have called upon You, for You will hear me, O God; Incline Your ear to me, and hear my speech.” Psalms 17:6

So today, make this your confession and walk in confidence knowing that you are the apple of God’s eye.
