That Looks Good On You

Regardless of the occasion, God knows that our heart’s desire is to be “Dressed to a T” in kingdom garments.  Whether outfits for home, church, work, or play, we prayerfully and sometimes speedily search for the perfect thing to wear.  Once we find the right outfit and obediently put it on, we hear a warm embracing whisper saying, “That’s exactly what you need for this occasion.  Yes, That Looks Good on You.”

The Message Translation of Colossians 3:12-17 highlights a few designer originals that are available to the children of God.  “So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline.”  Take a minute, walk into the beauty of God’s Word, read Colossians 3:12-17 and make a list of all the items available for our spiritual wardrobe.  If anything is missing or needs to be replaced, anything that is torn or tattered, there’s no need to worry--we can ask and receive it from our Heavenly Father--the Original Designer, Purchaser, and Stylist.
